Dear Church Family and Guests to our website,
God’s church never closes. Our church buildings at 1244 W. Elizabeth St. in Milton and on HWY 11 in Athena, may at times need to close, but they are buildings. The real church—the vibrant church, the church alive—never closes! We are His church! God has placed us right where He needs us at this time: Just as Mordecai said to Esther, we have been put here for “such a time as this.”
We face uncharted and unprecedented times, due to the COVID-19 virus. Each day our medical professionals give us new guidance on how best to navigate these waters. The White House is now recommending groups of no more than 10 people (with proper “social distancing”) gather together. Because of this…
Upper Columbia Conference leadership makes the following statement:
- “Decisive action is needed to protect those who are most at risk. This includes the difficult decision of suspending all church services in the Upper Columbia Conference, beginning March 21, with services possibly resuming on April 18, 2020.”
Following their counsel means church services at our church buildings are suspended for March 21, 28, and April 4 & 11. (We will keep you updated if there is any change to these dates.)
With services at the church building suspended at this time, our individual worship and family worship becomes even more important. Stay close to God during these times. Rely on Him and encourage others.
In order to keep in touch with you and your family during this time, we will be using our recently updated social media sites. We invite you to “like” our church Facebook page: Milton Adventist Church, and visit our website: miltonadventist.org to view our communications.
Your pastors will also be offering the following services through our social media sites:
- Mondays: Your Pastors will post a written devotional thought to start off your week on a positive note
- Tuesdays: Pastor Nancy will lead an interactive on-line Youth Group Bible Study (on the BLAST Youth Group Facebook page at 7:00 p.m.)
- Fridays: Pastor Nancy will read a Friday night sundown worship story for JAM kids at 7:00 p.m.
- Sabbaths: Your pastors will share a message at 11:00 a.m.
Again, we invite you to go to our webpage or Facebook site for any updated information.
Online Giving:
We encourage you and your family to continue in faithful stewardship during this time. If ever there was a time to “test” or “prove” God’s promises—or “taste and see that the Lord is good”—it is now. You can give online at our website, miltonadventist.org and click on “Online Giving” at the top right of the home page.
We close with this amazing promise from God:
Isaiah 43:1-3a
But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” (NLT)
With trust in our trustworthy Heavenly Father,
Pastor Lloyd Perrin & Pastor Nancy Canwell
